Storytime and After School programs are starting up again at the library for the kiddies so don’t forget to take advantage of them. And if you had an urge to practice your dance steps you can either join a dancing contest at InCahoots or start learning at Fullerton’s Historic Ballroom and Dancesport Center Open House. And don’t forget you can find out where all the Taco Tuesday specials are in town with the help of our Taco Tuesday Guide.  Also, when you get a chance, “Like” us on Facebook!

Fullerton Pooch Park is in need of volunteers to help open or close the park. Volunteers will need to go thru a background check and LiveScan fingerprinting thru the City because you get a key to City property. You can commit to just opening, just closing, both or justas a backup person when one of our regulars can’t do it. If you can help, please send an email to poochpark411@yahoo.com.

1:30pm: The Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center offers free art classes led by veteran art educator Veronica Kortz, who teaches beginner through advanced-level students in the use of oil, acrylics, pastels and watercolors. Students must provide their own art supplies.

Make room for some pie tomorrow and head to Polly’s Pies (136 N. Raymond Ave.) Go and have a great meal (and of course some pie) and they will donate 20% of you receipt to Fullerton Pooch Park!

Join the Friends of Coyote Hills for their Garage Sale (960 Adlena Dr.) this Saturday, Sept. 10. There will be tons of bargains. Donations can be made at the same location starting tomorrow, Sept. 7. Just drop off by the garage. Contact Shirley with questions at 714-870-9777. Proceeds support the effort to Save Coyote Hills as 100% open space.

Also, there will be a Kelly Thomas Fundraiser and Demonstration at Fullerton City Hall at Commonwealth and Highland this Saturday, Sept. 10. Plans include food trucks, radio stations, and bands playing. “Almost all of the proceeds will go to the Kelly Thomas Memorial Foundation,” says dad Ron Thomas.
