10am-2pm: Free public lectures on topics that explore heroic pursuits, practical matters and issues of the day are being offered this summer by Cal State Fullerton’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. This week’s lecture: “A Warm Culture in an Inhospitably Cold Environment: Experiences in Teaching Inuit Language Teachers” by Bertha Segal-Cook, trainer of language educators and OLLI member.
10am-3pm: Comedy Kaze and The Collaboratory Theater Group present session 2 of their Summer Improv Workshop Series for $120/$100 with current student ID (Tuition is due in full on the first day of class). There are 2 more sessions to choose from 2a on Tuesdays or 2b on Thursdays August 2-18. All classes will be held at the Monkey Wrench Collective in downtown (204 N. 10:15am: Toddler Storytime at the Hunt Branch Library (Room D) is for children under 3 years of age and younger, accompanied by an adult. This program provides children with first group experience in enjoying books, nursery rhymes, songs and fingerplays.
