And why not check out a new Norman Rockwell-inspired art exhibit opening today at The Muck or head down to the Thursday Market? There’s also plenty of live entertainment going on and even more Happy Hour deals to keep you properly hydrated!


Mark you calendars now for Saturday, July 9 for Fullerton Park and Recreation Department’s “Parent’s Night Out.” While mom and dad are out enjoying themselves, the kids will have a ball with games, arts and crafts, dinner, and a variety of fun activities presented by department personnel. The event will be offered from 5-10 p.m. at Independence Park (801 W. Valencia Drive). It will be $15 per child or $25 for families with two or more children and children must be 3-12 years of age to participate. Space is limited so pre-registration is advised and must be completed by Wednesday, July 6. Registration and further information may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department at (714) 738-6575.

Buy your tickets now for the Aug. 27 6-9pm Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association’s award-winning Vintage57 – A  Premiere Wine & Food Tasting Experience, featuring international cuisine and eclectic wines from around the globe at the Golleher Alumni House. The evening’s menu will be specially paired by Sommelier Diane DeLuca and a silent auction including wine, travel, golf and art items will be held throughout the evening in support of the Alumni Association student scholarship program. Ticket prices are as follows: $55 Alumni Association Members, $65 Non-Members, $100 VIP (includes exclusive private tastings and special gift), $550 Alumni Association Members Table (Table of 10), $650 Non-Members Table (Table of 10).

6-8:30pm: The Muckenthaler Cultural Center unveils American Nostalgia: Contemporary Artists and Illustrators Reinterpret the Traditional Themes of Norman Rockwell, a new art exhibit in collaboration with ism:a community project, $5 suggested donation. This opening night will also include musical performances by 4 groups and light refreshments. RSVP here.

6-10pm: Thirsty Thursday at NYPD Pizza in downtown Fullerton gets you $1 Domestic Drafts and $2 Import Drafts.

6-11pm: It’s Dollar Mania at AMF Carter Lanes! Get the best value for your dollar and fun for your bowl! The $5 cover charge gets you $1 games and $1 shoe rental with a minimum of 3 bowlers per lane.

6:30pm: The Fullerton Civic Light Opera (FCLO) Music Theatre brings back the Skyroom Summer Series with “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.” A Musical Comedy. Enjoy cocktails with dinner while you experience a professional staged show accompanied by a live band, in an outdoor dinner theatre venue in downtown Fullerton.
