Our Fullerton Egg Hunt for adults means free stuff for you! Even better, on the weekends we hide multiple eggs around town! (Sign up for our RSS feed & you can get email notices as soon as we update the page with a clue!)

So many great things to do in Fullerton, let’s get to it!

9-10:30am: Morning Yoga in the Garden at the Fullerton Arboretum is $13/members $15/nonmembers. The class is appropriate for all levels including beginners. Ages 16 – 17 allowed with an adult. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat if you have one. Call (657) 278-3407 for more information.

9am-1pm: The City of Fullerton hosts “Shredder Day” to allow residents to dispose of personal documents and papers at the City Hall visitor parking lot. For “Shredder Day,” citizens may bring five 10-inch-by-12-inch-by-16-inch boxes filled to the brim with material to be shredded for free.  Additional boxes over the five free loads will be charged $5 per box. Citizens may also bring old dead batteries to the April event for disposal. In addition, electronic waste will be collected for recycling. Also accepted are used or broken cell phones for the Women’s Transitional Living Center, a shelter for abused women and children.

9am-2pm: For under $20 you can enjoy brunch at Matador Cantina for breakfast classics with a Mexican-cuisine twist (omelettes, Huevos Rancheros, Mexican Breakfast Pizza and more). Drink specials include $8 Bottomless Champagne or Mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys, Greyhounds and Screwdrivers.

9am-5pm: Cal State Fullerton will host the 7th Annual Social Justice Summit “If Not Me, Then Who?” in the Titan Student Union. This event is free and open to the public, featuring workshops and keynote speakers Captain Paul Watson (animal rights activists and “Whale Wars” TV star) and Jamie Kilstein (comedian and co-host Citizen Radio).

10am: Nature Walks are held at the Fullerton Arboretum and are free.

10am: The Cal State Fullerton Relay for Life will be held at the CSUF Titan Track. This event is a 24-hour walk-a-thon to raise money for cancer research and treatment. This event is organized by CSUF students and is open to the community. There will also be free entertainment, prizes, food and lots of fun.

10am: Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp at the Student Recreation Center at Cal State Fullerton. To register, please visit the Recreation Services Desk, located on the second level of the SRC.

10am: Discover Meat and Dairy Alternatives in the Happy Cooking Company (549 S. State College Blvd.) class for $45. To register call Liz at (714) 388-0240.

10am-2pm: Belly Sprout finishes their “Week of the Young Child” (ages 2+) with a Springtime Carnival – a free event with Ladybug Jane, refreshments, storytime, activities, giveaways and vendors!

10am-2pm: Chomp sushi in Fullerton has Champagne & Punch Family Brunch for $24.95 adults and $12.95 children. They have eggs, pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos and more.

10am-4pm: Green Scene at the Fullerton Arboretum is a weekend outdoor gardening event featuring master gardener and plant societies offering advice; speakers on composing, water conservation, organic gardening and sustainability; more than 80 vendors selling plants, vegetables, garden art and accessories; second annual “We CAN Garden” community garden exhibit; and children’s activities. Admission is $6.

11am: Saturday Storytime at Barnes & Noble (1923 W. Malvern Ave.) is open to all ages to discover new books!

11am-2pm: Healthy Kids Day, a free community event, will be held at the North Orange County YMCA (2000 Youth Way) promoting healthy living with a community health fair, games and activities, group exercise demos of Zumba, Karate, youth sports, and so much more! AND a free BBQ.

11am-4pm: For $16.99/person you can head to AMF Carter Lanes for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and All You Can Eat Pizza! (cheese or pepperoni, served by the slice). No other coupons can be accepted and there’s a minimum of 3 bowlers per lane.

11am-7pm: Robbins Brothers Fullerton (255 W. Orangethorpe Ave.) hosts the second and final day of their ‘Spring Bling’ Tacori Trunk Show (featuring engagement rings, wedding bands and fashion jewelry). Call (714) 871-5000 to make an appointment.

11am-10pm: To promote their new kids menu launch, Chipotle is giving away a free kids meal every Saturday and Sunday in April when parents purchase an entree meal (burrito, salad, burrito bowl or tacos). (501 N. State College Blvd. # A)

11am-2am: Yager My Weekend at House of Eden means you’ll get $3 Yager Bomb shots AND Happy Hour from 4-8pm gets you $2 well drinks and domestic beers and $3 call drinks and import beers all at the only topless bar in town.

12pm: Cal State Fullerton Softball plays a double header vs. Cal Poly SLO in Big West Conference play at Anderson Family Field. Admission is Adults: $7, Seniors and Youths: $5.

2pm: “A Pirate’s Life for Me” is the 53rd Annual show of the Orange Empire Barbershop Chorus.  The show is an original musical written and presented by the Chorus at Plummer Auditorium (201 E. Chapman Ave.) Tickets start at $12.

2pm: Footloose: The Musical is presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Little Theater for $20.

2-4pm: The Heritage House Weekend Tours continue this weekend at the Fullerton Arboretum. Reservations not required; tours free however voluntary donations of $2/person are encouraged to help support the Heritage House.

4-7pm: The Geezer with the Guitar will play live at Max Bloom’s Cafe Noir.

4-10pm: Kids Eat Free at IHOP (151 W. Orangethorpe Ave.) with each adult entree purchase. Valid for kids 12 and under on the “Just for Kids” menu items. Drinks not included unless otherwise specified on “Just for Kids” menu. Not valid with any other discounts or coupons. Dine-in only.

5-8pm: Saturday Scotch & Steak at The Pint House in downtown Fullerton is $18.95 (plus tax, gratuity) for a Black & Bleu 10oz Rib-Eye Steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a side salad, plus 50% off Premium Scotch.

5-9pm: The OC Food Truck will serve dinner while you drink from the Bootlegger’s Brewery tasting room. (While you’re there inquire about their 3rd Anniversary Party!)

6pm: The Cal State Fullerton baseball team plays Santa Barbara in a single Big West Conference game at Goodwin Field. General Admission is Adults: $8, Seniors and Youths: $6.

6-9pm: Creating Space for Imagination is Katy Betz‘s art show presented at Cal State Fullerton. Join in for the opening art reception, with free parking and refreshments. A Master of Fine Arts Exhibition by local artist this show will transport you through a visual fairytale. Discover a world of wonder within over 40 original artworks on display and for sale. Located on Cal State Fullerton campus in the Visual Arts West gallery.

6pm-1am: Xtreme Bowling at AMF Carter Lanes costs $17.50 for 2 hours of bowling & shoe rental (3 person minimum) with xtreme black lighting, xtreme special effects and xtreme music.

7pm: Disappeared by Phyllis Nagy plays at the Monkey Wrench Collective theater in downtown Fullerton for $21 general admission ($11 student). Sarah Casey is a 25-year old travel agent who’s never been outside of New York. When she goes missing after leaving a seedy bar in Hell’s Kitchen, the last person to see her was a man who works in a thrift store and dresses in his client’s clothes, assuming different identities.

7-10pm: Crosstown 2 will play live at Max Bloom’s Cafe Noir.

7:30-11:30pm: Riff Haus Studios presents an all ages show for $10 with Embers, Exhausted Prayer, and Winterthrall (and more TBA).

8pm: Albert Herring, with Libretto: Eric Crozier and Composer: Benjamin Britten will be at the Cal State Fullerton Clayes Performing Arts Center, Recital Hall. Tickets are $10 ($8 Titan discount).

8pm: Ernest Salem, violin & Alison Edwards, piano will perform at Cal State Fullerton for $15.

8pm: Footloose: The Musical is presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Little Theater for $20.

8pm: The Idiot Box is a comedy that centers on six sit-com characters whose lives turn topsy-turvy when they discover the amazing realities of love, sexuality and the American society that they never knew existed. Clayes Performing Arts Center-Young Theatre at Cal State Fullerton, $10.

8pm: As You Like It continues the Hunger Artists tradition of presenting modern, relevant Shakespeare productions. General admission is $18, $15 for students/seniors with ID.

8pm: The Count of Monte Cristo is presented by the Maverick Theater for $20 general admission, $10 students.

8-10pm: Get $3 well drinks & $3 domestic beers at 2J’s Lounge for Power Hour.

8pm-12am: The Rockstar Back Bar is open at The Continental Room with DJs and drink specials every week. At 9pm hear DJ-Micro live with resident DJs Whitey White & Thrifty Lips.

11pm-2am: The Crepes Bonaparte food truck is scheduled to be in downtown Fullerton serving late night food from Amerige & Harbor.

Celebrate the end of the weekend with all these great things to do!

7:30am: The Rockin’ Roadrunner Run/Walk Challenge at Lion’s Field (1440 N. Brea Blvd.) is a challenging obstacle course with ropes, tires and tunnels created by Rolling Hills Elementary. The cost is $30, Team fee $10 per person min. 5 people per team, kid’s fun run $10 and all proceeds will fund Rolling Hills Elementary physical education and library service programs.

9am-1pm: Build your own omelette (up to 20 items) at Roscoe’s Famous Deli in the SOCO District of downtown Fullerton.

9am-2pm: Big’s Bar & Grill has all you can eat Brunch with regular drink purchase for $9.99, or for $15.99 with bottomless mimosas. Drink specials include $4.50 large domestics, $5 bloody marys, and $12 bucket of beer – 5 bottles domestic per bucket.

1-5pm: The Quartermania Fundraiser at the Holiday Inn & Suites – Royal Ballroom (2932 E. Nutwood Ave.) will benefit the 8th Grade Washington, DC trip for Fisler School in Fullerton. Bring quarters to bid on more than 70 items, there will also be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Auction begins promptly at 2pm. Arrive early to check in, get a paddle & grab a seat and meet vendors who are donating time and products for this event.

1-5pm: If you stay at House of Eden till 1pm you’ll get to be a part of Photo Shoot Sundays where you can watch, direct & join the Eden girls during a photo shoot.

1-5pm: Pursuit Cyclery Presents: The Spring GoldSprint Series at I Got Cha Pizza in downtown Fullerton. They’ll be running some FREE races during registration, with some lovely prizes: food, drinks, bike stuff, life stuff. You don’t have to be 21 for the food, but if you want the drinks, bring your ID! Registration starts at 1pm and the tournament will begin at 2:30pm. Cost is $6 and includes a slice of pizza. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each tournament.

2pm: 365 Days is $10 at Cal State Fullerton Hallberg Theatre, a gut-wrenching chamber theatre piece, which follows the harrowing, actual experiences of Ronald J. Glasser, during his time as a medic overseas, in the Vietnam conflict.

2pm: Footloose: The Musical is presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Little Theater for $20.

2pm: STAGES Theatre presents Twelfth Night – A Bold New Staging of Shakespeare’s rollicking comedy – for  $20, $17 for students and seniors.

2-4pm: The Heritage House Weekend Tours continue this weekend at the Fullerton Arboretum. Reservations not required; tours free however voluntary donations of $2/person are encouraged to help support the Heritage House.

2-6pm: Fullerton Community Nursery School (2050 Youth Way) will host their Family Fun Day intended for families with young children who are interested in experiencing the school, meeting teachers and having fun with crafts, games, music, food, and prizes. All ages of children are welcome.

3-5:30pm: The Tropical Shave Ice truck will be in downtown Fullerton serving tasty treats.

3:30pm: Fullerton Friends of Music presents a free concert by the Henschel Quartet for the 5th and final concert of their season at Sunny Hills Performing Arts Center (1501 Warburton Way).

4pm: The Maverick Theater presents their production of The Wedding Singer, for $20 and suitable for ages 13+.

4pm: Southern Fried Sundays at Slidebar starts, you’ll get half off wells, drafts and select appetizers and hear Double Wide perform.

5pm: Julius Caesar is presented by STAGES Theatre for $10/$12.

5-9pm: Roscoe’s Famous Deli invites you to hear the Voodudes play live.

5-10pm: Salon & Service Industry Night at Commonwealth Lounge in downtown Fullerton serves those in the Salon & Service industry to 1/2 off the entire dinner menu. (Dine with up to 3 non-industry guests with proof of employment.)

5:30pm: The Cellar helps the Japanese relief effort (last night tonight!) with a 4-course Japanese theme prix fixe dinner of which $10 of every meal benefits the American Red Cross Japanese Relief Effort. Executive Chef Sean Nemetz has crafted the $45 per person menu that includes: Seared sushi grade tuna under saffron risotto and finished by a Sriracha mango buerre blanc, Lemongrass consommé with sea urchin roe resting on a potato nest, Grilled Korabuta pork chop with wasabi potato puree and a sweet chili cream sauce and Green tea crème brûlée with honey-ginger Chantilly. Space is limited and reservations are recommended by calling (714) 525-5682.

5:30-9pm: The Cal State Fullerton Association of Chinese Students presents Wong Fu Productions in the Titan Student Union Pavilion, for $20 (to support the ACS). They will be speaking about their experience in the industry and screen new/unreleased work. (Parking in the TSU structure is free on weekends.)
