So much to do Saturday in Fullerton! Check out the latest Full Foodie column on Lizarran (it’s their 3rd Anniversary this weekend) then plan your day with our list below.

7am-12pm: Save Coyote Hills is holding a Garage Sale Fundraiser at 172 Hillcrest Dr.

9-10:30am: Morning Yoga in the Garden at the Fullerton Arboretum is $13/members $15/nonmembers. The class is appropriate for all levels including beginners. Ages 16 – 17 allowed with an adult. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat if you have one. Call (657) 278-3407 for more information.

9am-2pm: For under $20 you can enjoy brunch at Matador Cantina for breakfast classics with a Mexican-cuisine twist (omelettes, Huevos Rancheros, Mexican Breakfast Pizza and more). Drink specials include $8 Bottomless Champagne or Mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys, Greyhounds and Screwdrivers.

9:30am: The Arboretum Entomologists’ Bug Safari at the Fullerton Arboretum is $3/child – Preregistration recommended as space is limited (657) 278-3407. Discover the world of insects, Garden explorations and interactive bug investigations will be led by Arboretum bug lady and nature guide Cindy Calisher.

10am: Discover Meat and Dairy Alternatives in the Happy Cooking Company (549 S. State College Blvd.) class for $45. To register call Liz at (714) 388-0240.

10am: Free Saturday Nature Guide Tours at the Fullerton Arboretum are free (donations encouraged). Call to verify tour in inclement weather, or for more information, Mark Costello (657) 278-8347.

10am-12pm: Dr. Flora Morris Brown, author of Color Your Life Happy, will lead a workshop, “How to Write a Nonfiction Book Even if You’re an Ordinary Person and Hated High School English” at California State University Fullerton, in the Titan Student Union. The fee for the workshop is $49 and includes a workbook with book publishing resources. Participants must preregister.

10am-2pm: Chomp sushi in Fullerton has Champagne & Punch Family Brunch for $24.95 adults and $12.95 children. They have eggs, pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos and more.

10am-4pm: Don’t miss the June Bloom Perennial Plant Sale at the Fullerton Arboretum. The event will feature hundreds of perennial plants avaiable for purchase, including drought-tolerant and butterfly and hummingbird plants.

10:30am-12:30pm: Join Rock Harbor Church for Fullerton Families in the Park. The Families of RHF will be at Hillcrest Park with a grill out, connecting, and chasing kids around. For questions  email Steve Carter at scarter@rockharbor.org.

11am: The Free Stranger Danger Workshop at American Martial Arts Academy (1027 N. Harbor Blvd.) For more information call (714) 871-3898.

11am: The 2011 Relay For Life will be at Fullerton Union High School. Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer by camping out in teams and taking turns walking or running around the track. Relays are 24 hours in length; representing the reality that cancer never sleeps.

11am-4pm: For $16.99/person you can head to AMF Carter Lanes for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and All You Can Eat Pizza! (cheese or pepperoni, served by the slice). No other coupons can be accepted and there’s a minimum of 3 bowlers per lane.

11am-4pm: Check out Eco-Beauty Saturdays at Belly Sprout. Christy, professional makeup stylist and eco-beauty expert, will help you to clean out the toxins in your makeup bag, find a fresh look for you and teach you about the dangers in conventional products. $35 for consultation or complimentary with 2 item color/skincare purchase. ½ hour appointments available. 11am-4pm: The Bicycle Tree will be holding a hands-on bicycle repair workshop at the Fullerton Train Station (120 E. Santa Fe Ave.) providing the tools and help you need to learn how to fix your own bike. (There is a $5 suggested donation per hour but now one will be turned away for lack of funds.)

11am-2am: Yager My Weekend at House of Eden means you’ll get $3 Yager Bomb shots AND Happy Hour from 4-8pm gets you $2 well drinks and domestic beers and $3 call drinks and import beers.

1-4pm: The ActNOW Community Education/Screening Health Forum at Faith Deliverance Apolstolic Church (3800 W. Commonwealth Ave.) is free. Education Presentations include Breast, Cervical & Prostate Cancer, enjoy Physical Activity – How it can reduce your health risk, and get Free mammograms.

2pm: Head to Orangethorpe United Methodist Church where their Mini-Film Festival Continues. They’ll meet in the Conference Room to watch Snow Falling on Cedars on the (sort-of) big screen, eat Pizza, and talk about the Christian symbolism. The movies are free. But they ask a $5 donation per person, or $10/family for the Pizza Dinner.

2-4pm: The Heritage House Weekend Tours continue this weekend at the Fullerton Arboretum. Reservations not required; tours free however voluntary donations of $2/person are encouraged to help support the Heritage House.

2-5:30pm: Bootlegger’s Brewery will have another Sport Your Stein Night (with a food truck there to serve you dinner starting at 5pm). Bring your own stein/cup/drinking vessel, and they will fill it for a special price! Plus there will be a Best Stein competition at 7:30pm!

3pm: Join the Arborland Academy of the Arts (2111 Hughes Dr.) for their Music Spring Recital 2011. The program includes the “Star War”, “We’re Off to See the Wizard”, and the music by Beethoven, Gershwin, Kuhlau, and Schumann. This concert is free and open to the public.

4-7pm: Hear live music from the Geezer with The Guitar at Max Bloom’s Cafe Noir.

5-9pm: Bootlegger’s Brewery will have their tasting room open and dinner served by Swinging Kitchen food truck.

6pm-1am: Xtreme Bowling at AMF Carter Lanes costs $17.50 for 2 hours of bowling & shoe rental (3 person minimum) with xtreme black lighting, xtreme special effects and xtreme music.

6pm-close: Celebrate National Seafood Month with The Cellar and their 4-course tasting menu for $34.95 per person, available starting tonight through June 16th. (Optional wine pairing available for $19 per person.  Their sommelier will pair the appropriate wine with each course.) Get detailed menu at the website page.

6:30pm: Secret City Comics Society is a new Improv Comedy Show (at 141 W. Wilshire Ave., Ste. A). Enjoy professional comedians performing scenes based on suggestions from the audience. Safe for the entire family to attend. All shows are CLEAN. Adults are $12, Students/Senior/Military are $10.

6:30pm: The Fullerton Civic Light Opera (FCLO) Music Theatre brings back the Skyroom Summer Series with The Rat Pack Revisited. Enjoy cocktails with dinner while you experience a professional staged show accompanied by a live band, in an outdoor dinner theatre venue located in the heart of the trendy SoCo District. Tickets are $49 and $59 Includes No Host Bar, Dinner (dessert and coffee included) and Show.

7pm: Feed the Horde! The Invasion Begins at Riff Haus Studios for $7 at the door, all ages show featuring Cherry Bomb, Sinical Torment, Bloodsteel, Mordor, and Execution.

7-12am: Slidebar presents a free show with Don’t Panic, Sederra, AND The Ataris playing acoustic (!) and later hear Knock Out too!

8pm: The Beauty Queen of Leenane at Hunger Artists Theater is a dark comedy from one of Ireland’s most respected playwrights. The show is $18 general admission and $15 for students/seniors (with ID).

8pm: CHICAGO at Maverick Theater is $25 general admission and $15 for Students with a current ID.

8pm: STAGES Theatre presents Little Shop of Horrors for $25 general admission, $20 for students and seniors.

10pm-1am: Stubrik’s will have music by iBand.

10pm-2am: DJ Ruffnek will spin all night at Bourbon Street.

10am-5:30pm: Fullerton Critical Mass is meeting at the Fullerton Train Station to take the Metrolink to CicLAvia to ride bikes. Train leaves at 10:07am! CicLAvia is when 10 miles of LA roadways will temporarily close to car traffic and be open for recreational purposes. 

11am-4pm: The Fullerton Beautiful Open Garden Tour is a self-guided tour that begins at the Fullerton College Horticulture Department (Berkeley Ave.) Enjoy the plant sale and for $10 pick up a tour map. Portions of the proceeds go to funding the Fullerton College Scholarships. For more information call (714) 871-4156.

11am-6pm: Hair of the Dog Sunday at House of Eden treats you to $2 Bloody Marys and $2 Mimosas with the only topless girls in town. 1-5pm: If you stay till 1pm you’ll get to be a part of Photo Shoot Sundays where you can watch, direct & join the Eden girls during a photo shoot.

2pm: Footloose: The Musical is presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Little Theater for $20.

2pm: The Applied Voice Recital at the Fullerton College Recital Hall presents Vocal Studies students perform a wide variety of vocal repertoire for $7.

7pm: As You Like It continues the Hunger Artists tradition of presenting modern, relevant Shakespeare productions. General admission is $18, $15 for students/seniors with ID.
