Celebrate the end of the weekend with all these great things to do!

7:30am: The Rockin’ Roadrunner Run/Walk Challenge at Lion’s Field (1440 N. Brea Blvd.) is a challenging obstacle course with ropes, tires and tunnels created by Rolling Hills Elementary. The cost is $30, Team fee $10 per person min. 5 people per team, kid’s fun run $10 and all proceeds will fund Rolling Hills Elementary physical education and library service programs.

9am-1pm: Build your own omelette (up to 20 items) at Roscoe’s Famous Deli in the SOCO District of downtown Fullerton.

9am-2pm: Big’s Bar & Grill has all you can eat Brunch with regular drink purchase for $9.99, or for $15.99 with bottomless mimosas. Drink specials include $4.50 large domestics, $5 bloody marys, and $12 bucket of beer – 5 bottles domestic per bucket.

11am-4pm: Joshua Christopher Salon will host a charity CUT-O-THON for The Fullerton Technology Foundation supporting Fullerton School District. 12pm: Cal State Fullerton Softball plays a doubleheader vs. Cal State Bakersfield at Anderson Family Field. Admission is Adults: $7, Seniors and Youths: $5.

12-4pm: For $16.99/person you can head to AMF Carter Lanes for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and All You Can Eat Pizza! (cheese or pepperoni, served by the slice). No other coupons can be accepted and there’s a minimum of 3 bowlers per lane.

1-5pm: The Quartermania Fundraiser at the Holiday Inn & Suites – Royal Ballroom (2932 E. Nutwood Ave.) will benefit the 8th Grade Washington, DC trip for Fisler School in Fullerton. Bring quarters to bid on more than 70 items, there will also be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Auction begins promptly at 2pm. Arrive early to check in, get a paddle & grab a seat and meet vendors who are donating time and products for this event.

1-5pm: If you stay at House of Eden till 1pm you’ll get to be a part of Photo Shoot Sundays where you can watch, direct & join the Eden girls during a photo shoot.

1-5pm: Pursuit Cyclery Presents: The Spring GoldSprint Series at I Got Cha Pizza in downtown Fullerton. They’ll be running some FREE races during registration, with some lovely prizes: food, drinks, bike stuff, life stuff. You don’t have to be 21 for the food, but if you want the drinks, bring your ID! Registration starts at 1pm and the tournament will begin at 2:30pm. Cost is $6 and includes a slice of pizza. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each tournament.

2pm: 365 Days is $10 at Cal State Fullerton Hallberg Theatre, a gut-wrenching chamber theatre piece, which follows the harrowing, actual experiences of Ronald J. Glasser, during his time as a medic overseas, in the Vietnam conflict.

2pm: Footloose: The Musical is presented at Cal State Fullerton’s Little Theater for $20.

2pm: STAGES Theatre presents Twelfth Night – A Bold New Staging of Shakespeare’s rollicking comedy – for  $20, $17 for students and seniors.

2-4pm: The Heritage House Weekend Tours continue this weekend at the Fullerton Arboretum. Reservations not required; tours free however voluntary donations of $2/person are encouraged to help support the Heritage House.

2-6pm: Fullerton Community Nursery School (2050 Youth Way) will host their Family Fun Day intended for families with young children who are interested in experiencing the school, meeting teachers and having fun with crafts, games, music, food, and prizes. All ages of children are welcome.

3-5:30pm: The Tropical Shave Ice truck will be in downtown Fullerton serving tasty treats.

3:30pm: Fullerton Friends of Music presents a free concert by the Henschel Quartet for the 5th and final concert of their season at Sunny Hills Performing Arts Center (1501 Warburton Way).

4pm: The Maverick Theater presents their production of The Wedding Singer, for $20 and suitable for ages 13+.

4pm: Southern Fried Sundays at Slidebar starts, you’ll get half off wells, drafts and select appetizers and hear Double Wide perform.

5pm: Julius Caesar is presented by STAGES Theatre for $10/$12.

5-10pm: Salon & Service Industry Night at Commonwealth Lounge in downtown Fullerton serves those in the Salon & Service industry to 1/2 off the entire dinner menu. (Dine with up to 3 non-industry guests with proof of employment.)

5:30pm: The Cellar helps the Japanese relief effort (last night tonight!) with a 4-course Japanese theme prix fixe dinner of which $10 of every meal benefits the American Red Cross Japanese Relief Effort. Executive Chef Sean Nemetz has crafted the $45 per person menu that includes: Seared sushi grade tuna under saffron risotto and finished by a Sriracha mango buerre blanc, Lemongrass consommé with sea urchin roe resting on a potato nest, Grilled Korabuta pork chop with wasabi potato puree and a sweet chili cream sauce and Green tea crème brûlée with honey-ginger Chantilly. Space is limited and reservations are recommended by calling (714) 525-5682.

5:30-9pm: The Cal State Fullerton Association of Chinese Students presents Wong Fu Productions in the Titan Student Union Pavilion, for $20 (to support the ACS). They will be speaking about their experience in the industry and screen new/unreleased work. (Parking in the TSU structure is free on weekends.)

7pm: As You Like It continues the Hunger Artists tradition of presenting modern, relevant Shakespeare productions. General admission is $18, $15 for students/seniors with ID.

8-10pm: Get $3 well drinks & $3 domestic beers at 2J’s Lounge for Power Hour.

8-11pm: Xtreme Bowling at AMF Carter Lanes let’s you head out tonight with friends (3 person minimum) for an even better deal for fun bowling in the dark! For $12.50 you’ll get 2 hours of bowling & shoe rental with Xtreme lighting, sound & fun!

The weekend is here and there is so much to go do! A lot of fundraising events and Japan relief efforts and so much more!

8-11am; The Chalk Walk to Help Educators at Cal State Fullerton (the Education-Classroom Building) will honor teachers and raise funds to support educators and features 1K and 3K walks, music, teacher recognition activities and fun for participants of all ages. The College of Education Alumni Chapter hosts the public event, with support from the Phi Delta Kappa Chapter. The event is free. Park in Lot I, east of Education-Classroom Building, east side of campus.

9-10:30am: Morning Yoga in the Garden at the Fullerton Arboretum is $13/members $15/nonmembers. The class is appropriate for all levels including beginners. Ages 16 – 17 allowed with an adult. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat if you have one. Call (657) 278-3407 for more information.

9am-12pm: Botanical Art – Culinary Curiosities: How Does Your Garden Grow? at the Fullerton Arboretum is $30/members and $35/non-members. “Join art and botany instructor Tania Marien as we bring to light the beauty of edible plants through botanical art. Learn drawing techniques and expand your understanding of how plants function.”

9:30am-4:30pm: Tai Chi: Moving For Better Balance Southern California Instructor Training Workshop will be held at Cal State Fullerton, Kinesiology and Health Science Building, Room 203, free and facilitated by Robert Nations, an experienced Tai Chi practitioner. Participation in both days of instruction is required (bring your own lunch).

10am: Cal State Fullerton women’s tennis vs. Pacific in a Big West Conference match. Free admission to all home matches at the Cal State Fullerton Sports Complex.

10am: The Cal State Fullerton women’s soccer team invites past Titan greats and their families as well as fans and supporters to the inaugural “Alumnae Festival” at Titan Stadium featuring a family-friendly atmosphere complete with a taco bar, bounce houses, live music and 6-a-side soccer between the alumnae and current members of the program. Cost is $25 per person ($10 for children ages 12 and under) and all proceeds and donations go directly to the women’s soccer program.
